Aguila Launch Party
Drinks, canapes and a short talk by Prof Ben Allanach
Aguila Launch Party
You are warmly invited to celebrate with us the launch of Aguila! Headquartered in Cambridge, Aguila provides insurance for high-growth creative and innovative businesses, with a specialist focus on international expansion.
As well as enjoying drinks and canapes with innovators, creatives and professionals from the Cambridge ecosystem, the evening includes a short talk by Ben Allanach, Professor of Theoretical Physics at the University of Cambridge. There's also the opportunity to peruse Byard Art's exhibition "The Story of Art", which brings together work inspired by storytelling, literature, and books (pieces are available to purchase at exclusively discounted rates).
Quantum Collisions: A New Force?
Some particles produced in the collision of two protons at CERN are decaying in ways which disagree with standard theory. Ben Allanach will discuss his hypothesis for why: a new (quantum) force.
Ben is a Professor of Theoretical Physics at the University of Cambridge, after post-doctoral stints in laboratories in the UK, France and CERN. His research involves interpreting data coming from CERN and making new theoretical hypotheses in response, hoping to shed light on unsolved mysteries.
Aguila
Aguila is a new force in insurance! With offices in Cambridge, London, New York and Brussels, the Aguila team has decades of experience working with complex and emerging risks, led by Mark Boon (formerly CEO of La Playa and leading the Media & Entertainment practice) and Luke Chesworth (leading the Life Science & Technology practice).
We look forward to seeing you on 19 March!
RSVP: 12 February
