About this event

Family & Education • Education

Dr Karl is back at the Ri with a brand new show! But now there's even a Digital Dr Karl (an Artificial Intelligence Agent) roaming the net, trying to bring misguided folk out of the Rabbit Hole of Conspiracy they have fallen into.

The real Dr Karl will discuss how DNA testing can wrongly implicate innocent people, how Artificial Intelligence can either help or harm us, how ducks can be repeat traffic offenders and how the fact you can’t tickle yourself could make you fabulously wealthy. His usual whirlwind tour of science topics will also include why some people poke out their tongue when thinking, and how up to 50% of a resting 10-year-old’s energy is spent running their brain (as compared to 20% for an adult).

As with all our family theatre talks, this event is designed to be enjoyed by adults and children together. All young people under the age of 13 need to be accompanied by a paying adult and those aged 4 and above need a ticket to attend.

By booking to attend events at the Royal Institution, you confirm that you have read and accept the Ri's event terms and conditions. You also agree to abide by our code of conduct, and help to create a great experience for yourself and your fellow participants.
