AI Society Workshop

AI Society Workshop

Wrexham UniversityWrexham, Wales
Thursday, Mar 26 from 2 pm to 4 pm GMT
Overview

RSA Wales/Cymru is hosting two workshops to explore how we navigate how the "Tomorrow's World" of AI has arrived today.

The rapid integration of artificial intelligence into the fabric of our communities and business has moved from a future forecast to our present reality. The urgency to address AI-ready data, ethical governance, and societal impact is a key question for RSA Fellows and colleagues to reflect on and share their learning. How might we move beyond "if" we use AI to "how" we deploy it ethically to serve a fair, inclusive, and sustainable future?

AI Society: Thursday 26th March, Hybrid Meeting Room, CanfodAu Building, Wrexham University, Mold Road, Wrexham, LL11 2AW, 2.00-4.00pm

Presenters include Pritesh Pritel, AMRC Senior Engineer & AI Lead, Rod Howells, Executive Director BIC Innovation, Anthony Sturgess, Professor of Leadership and Enterprise, Wrexham University.

AI Business: April (date & time tbc), Aberystwyth University

Each event will offer a greater understanding of AI and space to consider its impact on our society by looking at different aspects. You are invited to hear presentations from specialist colleagues about emerging practice and contribute your own perspectives.

Both discussions will be recorded so we can run a test of Fellows thoughts against an AI generated content and report back to Y Caban, our online quarterly gathering of RSA Fellows at the end of April.
