Description

Air (e)quality - What’s Gender, Race & Poverty Got to do with Air Pollution?

Thursday 4th July 2019 6-9pm

Ecology Pavilion, Mile End Park, Haverfield Road, off Grove Rd, London E3 5TW

We are excited to be holding our next #WenForum at the Ecology Pavilion, situated amongst the picturesque lakes and reed beds of Mile End Park. The event will kick off with summer cocktails and snacks and time to peruse stalls. We have a fantatic panel of speakers lined up with ample time for Q&As. There will be a further opportunity to network and visit stalls at the end of the evening.

We have a limited number of early bird tickets available - so don't hang about!

Speaker Panel

  • Tiffany Lam, Consultant, New Economics Foundation Consulting

  • Rachel Blake, Deputy Mayor of Tower Hamlets

  • Claire McDonald, Mums for Lungs

  • UpRising (speaker to be confirmed)

  • Dr Halima Begum, WEN Chair

  • More speakers to confirm

Here are just some of the issues we will be covering:

  • Is pollution an equality issue?
  • How is air pollution affecting people differently?

  • Who is more vulnerable to air pollution?

  • What are the health impacts of air pollution?

  • What solutions are there for combating air pollution?
