The Cornish Bank is a vibrant, not for profit, community music and arts space in the centre of Falmouth, Cornwall. Hosting gigs, events and food nearly every night of the week it’s a pretty exciting place to be a part of. We provide a stage for  music gigs, festivals, feasts and workshops ranging between local and international artists.  Please check out our listings and come and support local music, food and arts.

Our favourite Sax toting, storytelling poet is back after a dazzling album release and all-round excellent year last year.

ADP is back - after a few months in the states and an absolutely stunning record (album of the year on BBC R6 no less) - our favourite Sax toting wordsmith is back at the bank...Gus Fairbairn, aka AlabasterDePlume, is an eccentric spirit, saxophanist, songwriter, poet, singer and creative force with a pocketful of phrases. A master at holding court with musicians and an audience, Alabaster Deplume released GOLD in late 2022 that was met with huge praise - "A defiantly original album with rollicking incantations, that tap into a dreamlike state of consciousness, wherein musicians bring a stew of instruments – flickering double bass, spitting sax, downy snare – to an impressive simmer beneath"“Illuminating!
