Course Content/Objectives

This session will draw upon the most recent results of the Scottish Survey of Literacy and Numeracy (2015) to highlight national areas of concern in pupil attainment.  This CPD will focus upon Estimation and Rounding, Place Value and some aspects of Number and Number Processes. The CPD will provide practical inputs that could be used with classes.

Outcomes sought

Increase in teachers’ knowledge of confidence in delivering number and number process concepts from Early to Second Level.
