An 'Alternative Valentine' event to raise funds and awareness in aid of The Passage, a homelessness charity in London.

Alternative Valentine is a virtual event being held on the evening of Wednesday 16th February 2022, to raise funds and awareness in aid of The Passage homelessness charity in London. There will be first hand accounts and practical advice from clients, volunteers and staff, accompanied by some music and poetry.All proceeds will go directly to The Passage and some examples of things your generous support could help to fund are listed further below.If you are unable to attend but still wish to donate, or simply want to top up your ticket donation, <a href="https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/alternativevalentine" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">then please visit our Just Giving page here</a>.THANK YOU!The Passage’s mission is to provide resources which encourage, inspire and challenge homeless people to transform their lives. Our services help people to address the issues that have contributed to them becoming homeless, and to enable them to move on.<ul><li>£25 could pay for one our welfare rights workers to support a client to access vital benefits.</li><li>£35 could pay for one our mental health workers to have a counselling session with a client.</li></ul><ul><li>£75 could pay for a week’s support for our modern slavery navigator to give in-depth support for someone at risk of trafficking and exploitation.</li></ul><ul><li>£100 could help us to provide crucial training and supervision for one our mental health workers for a week.</li></ul><ul><li>£250 could pay for in-depth support for a client fleeing domestic abuse from our domestic abuse worker.</li></ul><ul><li>£1,000 could pay for our experienced resettlement team to find four clients long term housing solutions.</li></ul>
