Our three Vice-Chancellors, Sir Alan Langlands (University of Leeds), Professor Koen Lamberts (University of Sheffield) and President and Vice-Chancellor Charlie Jeffery (University of York) are delighted to host this event which will be a celebration of our alumni community in Brussels and a demonstration of our continued commitment to research excellence and partnership working within the EU.
Professor Koen Lamberts will welcome guests and introduce our three high profile alumni speakers who will give short talks about their careers and share memories of their time at their respective White Rose university.

There will then be plenty of time for informal networking over dinner and drinks with fellow guests and the chance to meet with our university Vice-Chancellors.
Sir Alan Langlands will provide the closing address.

The White Rose Brussels office was set up to raise the profile of the 3 leading research-intensive Universities in Yorkshire – Leeds, Sheffield and York. We spend our time engaging with key stakeholders in Brussels, including MEPs, personnel at the European Commission, policy groups and of course, our alumni.

Since 1997 the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York have built on their individual strengths by collaborating through the White Rose University Consortium to add value from partnership activity in research, enterprise, innovation and learning and teaching.
Working with a range of partners from the private and public sector, both in the UK and overseas, projects to the value of over £150 Million have been secured into the Universities.
As the Higher Education sector undergoes numerous changes and challenges, our commitment to creating exciting collaborations remains and we continuously seek new partners on a regional, national and international basis.
