‘I wish there was somewhere we could just meet up and chat and connect’

So now we have a ‘somewhere’ at The Artists’ Hub Bishop Auckland we are taking action to make it happen.

Amalgamate Gathering #1 - is one of three test events, created to hold space for artists, creative humans both those starting out and those who may not have done anything creative for years but who are keen and curious to discover where to start.

It isn’t your usual networking/social gathering in so much as we aren’t there with a rigid schedule telling you what to do [we aren’t your mam - although we may absent mindedly ask if you have had a wee or remembered to put a vest on if it’s cold!] Each gathering will be shaped by those attending via a few simple questions when booking and there will also be space to simply chat and connect with each other.

About the venue

The Artists’ Hub in Bishop Auckland which opened its doors in December last year is an emerging creative space which is responsive to needs and ideas of the local creative community. Working in collaboration with community partners Bishop Auckland Town Hall, Bishop Auckland Town Council,Hearth, The Auckland Project, Bishop Auckland College to name just a few. It will deliver community workshops, opportunities for developing skills and so much more as it continues to find its feet and grow.

Please note: you are responsible for your personal belongings and safety and cctv is in operation at the venue and is externally monitored

Cancellations: Although this event is free it is ticketed to manage numbers for the venue capacity. If you can no longer make it please cancel your place in eventbrite before the event begins.
