Amber Pendant Making Workshop


Amber, Electron or Freya’s tears, known by many names’ prehistoric pieces have been found made of amber. Golden pieces with holes or animal shapes have been in Mesolithic across the Europe.


Join experimental archaeologist and workshop leader Vanessa to explore examples and learn about the history of worked amber. Wheather you're new to jewellery making or just looking to try something creatie, this is the perfect chance to learn some ancient techniques and leave with an unique piece you made yourself.

You will then be guided through the process using a selection of period accurate tools to create your own version of jewellery styled after archaeological finds before you learn to make the cordage to string your piece for the pendant to take home.

All material presented is based on archaeological finds. No prior experience is necessary.
