About this event
- 10 hours
We are delighted to invite you to Amnesty International UK’s 2024 Annual General Meeting.
The AGM enables us all to get together, share plans and discuss ideas, so that we can build an even more powerful human rights movement in the UK.
Together, we will vote on important resolutions, receive reports and question the Board and Chief Executive, so it is a valuable and exciting day to be a part of.
The event is FREE and will be held in Sheffield at Sheffield Hallam University, a 5 minute walk from Sheffield train station.
Please note - this event is for AIUK Section members only.
We will also meet over refreshments and food to celebrate all our members' incredible work in the year just gone and look ahead to another year of fighting for human rights in the UK and across the world.
We have an exciting agenda planned. Here are a few highlights...
- Participate in the governance of our movement.
- Hear from a special Keynote speaker.
- Hear directly from people in our movement.
- Learn about the efforts of our activists at their stalls in the ‘Activism Village’.
- Meet and connect with old friends and make new ones.
- An optional early evening get together to relax and chat (with food and entertainment)
