Amy Ilic: Wool Weaving Workshop

The Campaign for Wool was launched in 2010 to educate consumers about the benefits of wool, promote wool-rich products to a national audience and help to support and grow the wool industry. Run by a coalition of industry groups convened by HRH The Prince of Wales, the Campaign works to engage consumers through exciting fashion, interiors, artisan and design lead activities centering around Wool Week each year.The Campaign for Wool is jointly funded by some of the largest wool grower organisations in the world. Key nation partners include the British Wool Marketing Board, Australian Wool Innovation/The Woolmark Company, Cape Wools South Africa and Campaign for Wool New Zealand. All have shown incredible support and contributed to the global success of His Royal Highness’s Campaign for Wool since its inception.

About the Event...
A wool based weaving workshop on mini table looms hosted by textiles designer, @Amyilic. Perfect For those interested in trying their hand at weaving or just looking for a inspirational crafty afternoon during #woolweek.  
About the Artist...
Amy Ilic is a textiles designer and maker, specialising in weaving . She loves using colour as a way to add play and interest to life through fashion and home accessories.  She designs and makes pieces that are a balance of simple timeless design and playful, graphic personality statements.  She is very interested in where her materials come from and the welfare of animals, people and environment. She is also investigating well-being and how craft affects emotional health positively, slowing down in a fast world.
About the Location...
The event takes place in a totally woolly location created to celebrate the UK's Wool Week, The Wool BnB.   Everything in The Wool BnB, from interiors to fashion is made of wool. The Campaign for Wool has worked with leading interiors stylist, Karina Garrick to design and curate this incredible venue. Karina Garrick began her career with Terence Conran and now works with globally renowned brands and publications on varying scales from editorial through to exhibitions and installations.
