An evening with Mark Greene
Imagine reaching the UK – where we’ve got to, and where we need to go. Mark Greene in conversation with Paul Woolley.
Join us for an evening of reflection and conversation as Mark leaves LICC and looks back on 26 extraordinary years – first as Executive Director and more recently as Mission Champion.
Mark and Paul will explore the theological and cultural analysis that led to a strategic focus on whole-life discipleship, and how that has shaped LICC’s work and influence on the church over the past two decades.
The conversation will also highlight the extraordinary and humanly improbable level of favour, support and encouragement that LICC has received along the way – from partners across the wider church, colleagues and advisors, and the unexpected opportunities that have helped the work develop. Stories abound. As Scripture says, 'I will tell of all your wonderful deeds' (Psalm 9:1).
Looking ahead, Mark and Paul will consider the current landscape: LICC’s role in conversations about the gospel and everyday life, what has changed in church and culture, what has worked, and the challenges that remain in embedding whole-life disciplemaking in local churches and training institutions.
Drawing on his early career as an advertising executive and Vice Principal of LST, Mark brought fresh insight, energy, and creativity to LICC. This evening is an opportunity to give thanks for Mark’s leadership, celebrate God’s faithfulness, learn from the journey so far, and consider thoughtfully the opportunities and challenges ahead.
