With a trio of Canadian contemporary classical musicians and an irreplaceable projection artist in a great space has all the ingredients of an unforgettable evening of improvised music. Stopping by on his tour of Europe, Jack Campbell (violin) teams up with contemporary classical phenomenon David Zucchi (prepared saxophone), the 'geometric sonorities' of Cheslav Singh (prepared piano) and the potent live visuals of Pierre Bouvier Patron in An Improvised Evening_1.

About the artists
Jack Campbell
Jack Campbell (b.2002) is a violinist, composer, guitarist, and arts producer. Outside of Vancouver, he currently creates and collaborates in Paris, Berlin, London, and Amsterdam.Jack regularly works as a soloist, chamber musician, and recording artist for LP, video, and sound installation. He has commissioned and premiered over 20 works for solo violin. His compositional projects aim to build bridges between music and visual arts, dance, and theatre. He is pleased to be joining these three distinguished artists for the final concert of his 2024 European Tour.
David Zucchi
Praised for his “urgently visceral” playing (TEMPO), London-based Canadian saxophonist David Zucchi enjoys a varied career as a performer of classical, contemporary, experimental, and improvised music, collaborating regularly across the UK, Europe, and Canada. He has been featured by Nonclassical, Arraymusic, the Composers Platform, and the Royal Overseas League, appears on recordings from NMC, Another Timbre, Birmingham Record Company, and has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and Resonance FM’s The News Agents. Recent appearances as a soloist and chamber musician include Wigmore Hall, Purcell Room, St. John’s Smith Square, Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, Edinburgh Fringe, and the London Contemporary Music Festival.
Cheslav Singh
Cheslav has performed internationally at renowned venues (Rome, London, New York, Naples, Paris, Toronto), on radio (RAI 3) and television in many different contexts, playing everything from Beethoven to free jazz. He has been recognized as being able to ‘construct solid geometric sonorities, very well planned…’ and his playing is said to be ‘…engaging and meditative…’ (Massimiliano Cerito, June 2022).
Since 2011, he has been actively involved in contemporary classical music, having co- founded the audiovisual group a=b=x=y. He has appeared as a composer, composing solo pieces, to pieces for a full symphony orchestra. He is also the co-founder of Our ‘PL’ace Foundation, through which, among other activities, he co-curates an annual International Audiovisual Art Festival in Poznań, Poland (ŚWIATŁODŹWIĘKI). This has organically grown into LightSounds, the London-based audiovisual festival with its first edition in 2023.
He remains active in searching for extended playing techniques on the border between acoustic and electronic music, plays the organ, has a keen interest in tuning systems and is an active student of Gurbāṇī Saṅgīta, having had the immense fortune of being able to work with and for Bhai Baldeep Singh, its foremost exponent, since 2013.
Pierre Bouvier Patron
Pierre Bouvier Patron is a visual artist based in London. He is currently working with different media, such as digital video and film, exploring the boundaries between them and creating moving image works, performances and installations. He has developed various practices and skills in experimental film, documentary films, music videos, etc.
He is involved in video screenings and video performances, solo or in collaboration, with musicians such as Syd Kemp, Steve Beresford, Ulrika Spacek and artist Blanca Regina, among others. His work has been shown in France, Spain, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Germany, etc.
