This online course will give you an overview of your responsibilities in looking after the finances of your charity - both in monitoring and reporting on them to OSCR (the Scottish charity regulator).

Learning Outcomes

We’ll explore how to :

  • Create a compliant annual statement of account under charity law
  • Understand charity budgets
  • Comply with external scrutiny requirements

We'll also talk through good practice guidance on financial management.

With some useful exercises and group learning – as a recent participant noted – finance can be fun!

Who should attend?

The course is suitable for anyone working or volunteering in the charity sector in Scotland - trustees, directors, CEOs, managers, development workers etc.

Please note that priority is given to organisations in Edinburgh.
