As leaders, we are often told to think creatively to help improve our business. But we are never given the tools or resources to do so. Thankfully, creativity is a process: a way of thinking and behaving that can be learned, maintained and implemented.

In this workshop, we introduce you to creativity through the lens of our emotions and the Triadic Brain Model.

What purpose do emotions serve in our daily thinking and behaviour that pulls us towards certain situations, people, and responses? How does the brain regulate all of this in a manner that we are not conscious of, and which under-lies our regular thinking patterns and actions? And what does this mean in my day-to-day life and work?

We’ll provide you the tools and techniques to answer these questions, calibrate your emotions to situations as they arise and begin to bring creativity into the heart of your organisation.

This workshop is led by Graham Walkinshaw, a coach and consultant with over twenty years’ experience of working with third sector organisations, universities, local authorities and businesses. Graham will help you understand how and why creativity can be fostered through practice, as well as how to implement it throughout everything you do as a leader.

The Creativity in thought and behaviour workshop series

Over a series of eight workshops – held on the last Wednesday of each month – we will show you how to make creativity a habit – for yourself and your organisation.

Each workshop can be attended and understood individually. However, they build on each other and we recommend embracing them as a complete series.

About the speaker

Graham Walkinshaw is a co-founder of Patterson-Walkinshaw Training Consultancy, a partnership founded in 1995 to offer training and development services including coaching, group work and hypnotherapy support largely to the third sector in Scotland. He has been Director of Acorn Principle Plus Ltd, an Association for Coaching recognised training provider based in Edinburgh and working all over Scotland.

Graham has pursued a personal learning and development programme which has included indigenous cultural work in both Canada and the US focussing on dependency treatment models and personal development strategies from these perspectives.

He has background in third sector, local authority, and NHS contracts, many in the fields of coach training/development, personal development programmes, dependency treatment, homelessness and alternative approaches to health, leadership, and organisational development. Graham has also offered bespoke programmes in the educational and commercial sectors. As a certified Co-Active Coach Graham brings the elements of Fulfilment, Balance and Process coaching to the services he offers and combines this with the ongoing training in applied neuroscience.
