An Introduction to Grants and What Makes a Successful Application

A two-hour workshop on innovation grants where you'll learn how to find grants, understand your eligibility and tips for making successful applications.

Dr Chloe Sharp from MPA, Head of Grant Services will be facilitating a free, in-person two-hour workshop that includes:

• An overview of the grant landscape (including local, regional, national and EU)
• Where to find grant opportunities
• What the different levels are, and ow they impact what is achieved in a grant project
• The types of grant projects eligible for grants and how the type influences funding levels
• What makes a successful grant application

Dr Chloe Sharp is the all-round grants lead at MPA, having worked in grant consultancy for over a decade and winning over £10m in government grant funding. There is a general lack of understanding of how grants work that can in turn stop businesses from accessing grants, which could be critical in enabling innovation as they pay for key R&D activities. In addition, grants are often missed as part of broader, strategic fundraising piece. This session gives a brief insight into grants to show what's available and if they're right for your business.
