Aperçu

ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and support available in Northumberland from the ME Association

An introduction to ME/CFS

Join us to hear from Russell Fleming, head of project development, at the ME Association. Russell has had ME/CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) for 25 years and was able to return to work 10 years ago, first as a volunteer and now full-time from his home in Cornwall.

The ME Association provides effective support and expert information, lobbies local and national governments and is working to improve healthcare for all. It prioritises prudent investment in medical research in the hope that one day there will be effective treatments and even a cure. Since the pandemic, the charity has been welcoming people with Long Covid due to the many similarities with ME/CFS.

We will hear about recent healthcare and research developments, how healthcare should work for you, and we'll discuss the best ways to manage these chronic infection-associated diseases. There will also be a chance to ask questions.

(Please note that this event is the rescheduled date for the online event which was due to take place on Friday 13/6/25)
