About this event

This workshop presents an overview of positive psychology covering its growth and development from its inception, where the focus is on developing what works well for increased life satisfaction referred to as the ‘first wave’ of Positive Psychology through to the ‘second wave’, which acknowledged the reality of negativity implicit in the challenges life presents.

The much needed second wave develops the nuanced understanding of how negativity and trauma can lead to post traumatic growth. I will outline some evidence- based well-being theories, tools and techniques which can inform your work as a Coach, Counsellor, Psychotherapist or allied Professional.

This course is collaborative and interactive which it is hoped will encourage a sharing of knowledge and skills. Therefore, we will be putting theory into practice to test the effectiveness of Positive Psychology and positive psychology interventions (PPI).

What are the key benefits?:

Participants will learn more about the science of Positive Psychology (positive psychology is an evidence-based approach), well-being theories and evidence-based tools and techniques. You will first and foremost have an opportunity to increase your personal awareness about your own well- being and how you can support yourself towards feeling more energised, identifying your goals and working towards living your best life.

The aim of this course is to support you to feel confident enough to integrate Positive Psychology into your life, into work with your clients and to be inspired to continue studying more about the science of Positive Psychology.

Why would I want to do this?:

To explore ways of integrating Positive Psychology and the benefits of a positive psychology paradigm into your professional practice

Please note: ticket sales closes on Thursday 22nd April at 4pm.
