About this event

AN INTRODUCTION TO STORYBOARDING FOR ANIMATION - Jamie Teehan the director of BBC's Nikhil & Jay, will show the do's and don'ts of creating a storyboard for animation.

A storyboard takes a script or a story and turns it into a series of drawings, these drawings show everyone where the camera will be placed, where the characters need to be positioned and what the characters will be doing. The trick to a good storyboard is to know where to place the camera and characters to best tell the story. Informal, fun and informative, this workshop will use examples and exercises to give participants the knowledge they need to visually tell a story, participants will then be able to storyboard stories of their very own.

For Ages: 8-12 / Duration: 90 mins.

Start Time: 1.00pm (Exit Time: 2.30pm).

Venue: Liffey Trust Studios, 117-126 Upper Sheriff Street, Dublin 1.

This is a drop-off workshop. Parent/guardian supervision is not required. On the day of the workshop, parent/guardian will be asked to fill in a contact details registration form before the event.
