Hackathons provide a wonderful opportunity to learn about the substantial data behind an organisation, get to know other staff who work broadly within business intelligence and learn how to create visually interesting and engaging dashboards via Power BI to display the findings. The first step to joining us is to register your interest and we'll then send out an official invitation in the next week. The details

What: Analytic's Spring hackathon

Where: Wallacespace Spitalfields

When: Friday 24 April

What time: 9.30am, but feel free to join us from 8.30 for breakfast and to meet other participants. Yes, one of the aims of the day is to give new users a chance to learn how to use Power BI. However you should watch some of the online tutorials to get a basic understanding of Power BI.See what staff have said about our previous hackathons...“The opportunity to meet and work with people from all corners of King's. It's always great to be able to co-operate with departments you do not normally engage with. Also, I liked the fact that it wasn't a frontal lecture, but more an interactive and practical workshop. Personally, I took back quite a lot that I didn't know about Power BI.”
