About this event

This programme by Ancient Mindfulness aims to expand your consciousness and develop your self-awareness.

This 5 week course is designed to help reduce stress and anxiety, build strength, increase awareness, improve sleep, improve focus and help participants find a more mindful way of processing thoughts in daily life.

This online workshop is designed to offer clear guidance for practising mindfulness and integrating it into our lives. The educational side of the program helps participants develop a strong understanding of mindfulness and experience the many benefits of becoming more mindful.

Each group session will be interactive and engaging, including a mixture of guided meditations, group discussions and practical exercises designed to build and improve different skills.

Mindfulness is a way of living life with reduced stress and anxiety, as well as, increased awareness and control.

Ancient Mindfulness includes:

5 Twice a week Online Group Sessions 6pm to 8pm on Mondays and Tuesday

Weekly homework

2 one hour online consultations to be arranged with Kirk

Course Leader

My name is Kirk Young. I am an Mental Health Practitioner and independent Mindfulness Coach. Mindfulness skills and exercises have helped me manage my workload as I work full-time and study part-time in the busy city of London. I aim to share my knowledge of how Ancient Mindfulness can improve our emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and relationships in our personal lives and in the workplace.

Dates/Time:

We will meet virtually via Zoom on Mondays and Tuesdays from 6pm to 8pm for 5 weeks. This is a UK based event, if you are joining from outside the UK you may want to double check the time with the course leader or use a time zone converter.

Ancient Mindfulness by Kirk is open to all levels of experience and is suitable for anyone who wants to develop their understanding of how to reduce stress and anxiety. The exercises practised in this course are designed to develop the skills required to become more mindful in daily life.

Commitment:

To get the most out of this program it is recommended that you commit to attending all 10 sessions because to integrate mindfulness practice into daily life requires regular exercise of mindfulness skills.

If you have to miss a class please let the course leader know and course materials/email support will be provided to you so you can understand the content of the missed session.

Please note, you will be required to use a laptop/computer, tablet, phone or device with internet access, and will need a functioning camera and mic.

Frequently asked questions

What if I miss a class?

If you have to miss a class please let the course leader know and course materials and email support will be provided to you so you wont be left behind and can keep up with the program.

What further information will I receive?

You will receive a confirmation email once you have purchased your ticket confirming class timings and instructions of how to access the class You will also receive course materials including PowerPoint presentation slides, homework questions, guided meditation video links and exercise instructions.

What is your cancellation or refund policy?

If you cancel at least 7 days before the start of the program you will receive a full refund minus a £15 administration fee. If you cancel less that 7 days before the start you will receive a 50% refund of the ticket price. Once the course has started no refunds will be issued.

What is your transfer policy?

You can transfer to different course dates, please give 7 days notice before the course starts. After the course has started you will not be able to transfer to other dates.
