Settle Community and Business Hub is a not for profit venture operating out of Unit 1, Commercial Courtyard in the centre of Settle.We run a range of groups, workshops, business training, wellbeing events both in person and online.

After the success of our first animation drop-in we have decided to make it a regular feature and plan to meet up approximately every 6 weeks.
Come along and have a go at making a short animated film or just watch and see what people are doing. 
We held an 8 week animation course at the hub in February and March where Virpi from Kettu Studios, one of the animators behind Wallace & Gromit and Shaun the Sheep, taught two groups whose films were then shown as part of the Settle Stories Festival of Happiness in May. We had so much fun doing the course we have decided to organise these drop-ins so we can continue to meet up and encourage others to have a go at making a short film themselves. Between us we have some cameras and editing software but you can easily make some simple films using a mobile phone and free apps. So come along, have a look at the films we made and get inspired to make your own. We have plenty of plasticine, colourful paper and other things that are useful for film making.
This is a drop-in event so come at any time between noon and 6pm but please book if you plan to join us so we have an idea of numbers. No official charge but a donation to the hub would be much appreciated.

Are there minimum age requirements for the workshop?           No but children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. 
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the Hub? There are three pay and display car parks in Settle - at Ashfield, Whitefriars and Lower Greenfoot. There is 2hr free DISC parking in the central Shambles area of Settle. Customers can park free at Booths supermarket.
