The Surrey Training Hub is a local partnership supporting the development and transformation of the primary and community care workforce through education and training across the Surrey Heartlands footprint. It is a model developed by Health Education England and rolled out nationally in order to better support the local development of the health workforce.We aim to attract, develop, support and retain our health and social care professionals working across primary and community settings (GP surgeries, community clinics, care homes etc) throughout the Training Hub footprint to ensure that through education and skills development our patients will benefit from high quality care and services.

Anticoagulation Update - Virtual
For: GPs, Nurses, HCAs and all clinical staff

Spaces must be booked under the name &amp; contact details of the person attending.Aim of the session: To ensure those clinical personnel -doctors, nurses, pharmacists and health care assistants -who are already managing anticoagulant monitoring in primary care are updated and upskilled. The course will cover both INR monitoring of patients on warfarin and DOAC monitoring.Learning outcomes:By attending the programme individuals will:Update their knowledge of recent developments in anticoagulationHave an understanding of current guidelines in stroke prevention and existing research evidence for monitoring and initiation of anticoagulantsLearn from discussion with other professionals aspects of managing anticoagulation safely in a multidisciplinary teamAn understanding of the roles of the multi-professional, disciplinary team in managing anticoagulation safelyAcquire an understanding of the requirements of clinical governance for anticoagulation management developing/adapting and applying audit tools with performance indicators.Register on Eventbrite and a Zoom link will be sent to you nearer the time.After registering, you will receive a confirmation email.Due to cyber security, please register with your NHS email, if you don't then unfortunately your place will be cancelled.Terms &amp; ConditionsPLEASE BE AWARE THAT WE MAY RECORD SOME OF THE SESSIONS AND PICTURES MAY BE TAKEN DURING THE TRAINING TO PROMOTE ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND THE TRAINING HUB WEBSITE.IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY TO HAVE YOUR PHOTO TAKEN, PLEASE INFORM THE FACILITATOR BY USING THE CHAT FUNCTION OR VERBALLY, YOU CAN THEN TURN YOUR CAMERA OFF.<ul><li>Spaces are only for NHS employees in member practices within Surrey Heartlands ICB, your place will be cancelled if you are not.</li><li>Charges will apply if the person attending does not work in Surrey Heartlands ICB.</li><li>Spaces must be booked under the name &amp; contact details of the person attending.</li><li>Multiple bookings made under the same details may be subject to cancellation.</li><li>Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours’ prior to the course date.</li><li>Non-attendance or failure to cancel may result in a charge of up to £96 (this may be higher for certain courses). Failure to cancel and non-attendance also means that those on the waiting list are unable to be offered this place.</li></ul>
