Antisemitism Today - Anthony Julius, renowned lawyer, writer, Professor of Law and Arts at UCL, and Deputy Chairman of Mishcon de Reya, speaks on contemporary antisemitism, in particular at English universities since October 7th 2023.

Antisemitism is a mutating virus. Since October 7th, it has taken on a new and profoundly troubling form, not least in the halls and cloisters of England’s leading universities. In this lecture, Anthony Julius, author of Trials of the Diaspora: A History of Anti-Semitism in England (OUP 2010), maps out this new strain of anti-Jewish hatred, and highlights some of the limitations in what have, so far, been the institutional responses to it.


The lecture will be held at a central Oxford location. The exact location will be announced 3 days before the lecture.

Please note: a valid Oxford university email address will be required in order to register, and names will be cross-checked against University Cards on the door. There will also be no possibiltiy of entry on the day without a valid ticket.
