Free to attend webinar from the APEA will cover the challenges and opportunities of alternative fuels, with a focus on the commercial vehicle sector.Topics covered: •	Regulator Update - Clare ScawthornThis will include the outcome of the Petroleum (Consolidation) Regulations 2014 review, what this means for enforcing authorities and new guidance in place. Speaker: Clare is a Petroleum &amp; Alternative Fuels Group Manager at London Fire Brigade, who heads up a team of inspectors working across London making sure the petroleum forecourt infrastructure is safe. Currently the chair of the Petroleum Enforcement Liaison Group, Council Member for the APEA and represents London Fire Brigade at other national committees, including the National Fire Chiefs Council Petroleum &amp; Explosives working group, to drive standards within petroleum and other alternative fuels both within London and nationally.  •	Standards Update - Jamie ThompsonA short presentation and it will cover standards update, with info on Brexit and what it means regarding regs and CE markings.Speaker: Jamie is the Chairman of the APEA Technical Committee, Chairman of the European Standards Committee TC 393 and TC 265 WG8 dealing with tanks,  pumps, pipes and all safety equipment on petrol stations•	HVO Fuel - Simon LawfordThis session will cover: What exactly is HVO? why should it play an important part of the future fuel mix and can it actually be greener than battery-electric power when it comes to total CO2 emissions? Explaining all about this new green direct diesel substitute and why you are lobbying the government to introduce incentives for its useSpeaker: Simon has had more than 20yrs experience in the Fuel and Lubricants industry. A Chemist, Simon started his career as an R&D chemist, designing and manufacturing innovative products for use as lubricants in applications such as Wind Turbines, Hydraulic fluids and Compressors. In addition to his experience in R&D, Simon has held positions within Technical Service, Sales &amp; Marketing and has lead both Sales and Technical teams. Simon joined Crown oil in March 2019 where he is responsible for driving the Sales and Technical aspects of our renewable and sustainable fuel, Crown HVO.•	Challenges in the Swedish market – Regulations, Policies and Technical issuesThis talk will cover some of the challenges with regulatory matters and policy, along with technical issues regarding tanks, preparations of etc. Speaker: Magdalena is head of Public Affairs at Neste dealing with Regulations and Policy . Previously she was secretary General of the Swedish Fair Trade Association. She is also a former MP of the Swedish Parliament.•	Petrol dispensing vs Diesel dispensing - Andrew Olive, Pumptronics &amp; Bert Fowler, Vectec LtdThis session wll cover: iDiesel &amp; Petrol hazardous zones , Hybrid commercial vehicles, Stage 2 vapour recovery principle and requirements , Typical application on a commercial refuelling installation. This will then lead onto the Vectec presentation by Bert Fowler discussing a recent Commercial installation for a major home delivery networkSpeaker: Andrew Olive Commercial Director for Hytek GB Ltd with specific responsibility for the Pumptronic branded fuelling dispensers in the commercial and retail sectors. 15 years in the industry with Pumptronics and x? years as a committee member of the APEA Eastern branch.Bert Fowler Head of Projects at Vectec Ltd. 6 years in the commercial refuelling industry, specialising in the design, supply and installation of new commercial Petrol, Diesel and AdBlue refuelling sites. •	EV Battery Fires - Lessons learned from around the globe - Dylan EvansThis session will cover: Electric Vehicles: Fire Safety Considerations for Lithium Ion Battery Vehicles &amp; Infrastructure. Speaker: Dylan Evans is a Research &amp; Inspecting Officer, in London Fire Brigade’s Petroleum &amp; Alternative Fuels Group. In 2019 Dylan won the APEA’s (Association for Petroleum and Explosives Administration) Rising Star Award, for work on the evolution of the fuel industry.
