Afternoon of hands-on apple preserving activities

Orchard Cardiff is inviting you to an afternoon of hands- on apple preserving activities in Old Splott Library as part of the Good Food Cardiff Autumn Food Festival.Eira from Inner City Pickle will guide us through making delicious apple &amp; ginger jam, apple sauce and &#x27;Dinka Fala&#x27; aka tinkers cake in Welsh. You can test your taste buds in our &#x27;guess the apple variety&#x27; quiz and there&#x27;ll be also a colouring table for the little ones (+ 7yo). Produce used will have been harvested from local trees. Subject to the weather and supply we&#x27;ll have a go at apple pressing and drying! Bring a jar to take home your creation!We&#x27;d appreciate if you can let us know in advance that you&#x27;re coming, either through booking a ticket here, or signing up at the weekly Breakfast Club in Old Splott Library.
