Congratulations on your conditional offer for a place at Riseholme College!

Our Welcome Day is a great way to meet your new teaching team, find out more about your course, take part in some practical activities and of course, find out who your new classmates are!

Please note, the Welcome Day will form part of the assessment to make sure the course is the right fit for you, so it is important that you attend.

Frequently asked questions

What should I wear?

Please dress appropriately for the weather. Certain workshops may also require you to bring additional protective clothing with you - see the website for details. Please note that long hair must be tied back and jewellery must be removed when taking part in practical sessions.

Information for Parents/Guardians

Your young person does not need to be accompanied for the Welcome Day, but feel free to join them on campus for the day if you prefer as our support teams will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

Transport and how to find us

Transport to and from our Welcome Day cannot be provided by the College so please ensure you make suitable arrangements in advance. Please follow the signage on the A15 to the Showground Campus Main Entrance to park/drop off. Our team will be ready to welcome you.

Should I bring a packed lunch?

We recommend that you bring a packed lunch with you, but you can purchase lunch from our on site eating outlet if you wish. Please note, we do run a cashless campus.

What should I do if I need to cancel?

Demand for Welcome Day places is high and there is often a waiting list, so we ask that you please contact us at marketing@bishopburton.ac.uk or telephone 01522 304600 if, for any reason, you are unable to attend.
