Better Together: How can Industry and Academia Collaborate to Empower Future Language Professionals?

How can industry and academia collaborate to empower the language professional of the future? The APTIS25 online conference organised by the UCL Centre for Translation Studies (CenTraS) aims to acknowledge, recognise, and celebrate the growing importance of academia-industry collaborations in our field.Registration closes on Monday 3 November at 7 am (UK time). Access instructions will be sent to attendees 24h and 1h before the e-conference starts.Each APTIS Member Institution is entitled to ONE free delegate ticket, which was sent to institutional representations on 15 August via email. Please contact the APTIS Board of the APTIS25 Organising Committee if you have not received it.Any students who select Band C fees, please submit proof of eligibility via email to aptis25@ucl.ac.uk.APTIS25 will take place on Zoom Webinar. Attendees will be able to activate live captions, which will be generated by Zoom in collaboration with UCL’s preferred partner <a href="https://verbit.ai/" title="https://verbit.ai/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Verbit</a>. The Organising Committee will waive the registration fees of any sign language interpreters or companions providing access support to registered attendees or speakers.
