As part of the Wilder Lugg Citizen Science efforts, Phil Ward will be leading an aqautic invertebrate workshop at The Samatha Centre on the river Lugg, on Friday 23rd May.

By monitoring invertebrates within watercourses we can determine certain details about water quality - this workshop is aimed to upskill locals on how best to monitor and study the water quality in their communities.

We will carry out 'kick sampling' in a shallow part of the river Lugg SSSI, before studying our samples under microscope and recording our findings.

This event is open to all within the local community but places are limited to 8 - so don't miss out! Please bring suitable outdoor clothing including a raincoat and boots/ wellies. Tea and coffee will be provided, but please bring a packed lunch.

This is a free event but as always, the Trust kindly welcomes your donations.
