An evening of eco  poetry to celebrate the launch of Corinna Board's debut pamphlet Arboreal

Join us for the Arboreal Book Launch! 🌳📚 where we will be celebrating the release of Corinna Board's debut pamphlet.As well as poems from Corinna, we will have readings from Bex Hainsworth, Stephen Wren, Sarah Westcott and Sarah Doyle.Bex Hainsworth is a poet and teacher based in Leicester. She won the Collection HQ Prize as part of the East Riding Festival of Words and has been shortlisted in the Welsh Poetry Competition, Waltham Forest Poetry Competition, and the AUB International Poetry Prize. Her work has appeared in The Coachella Review, Atrium, Okay Donkey, bath magg, and trampset. Her debut pamphlet Walrussey was published by The Black Cat Poetry Press.Dr Stephen Paul Wren is an academic chemist, studied at Oxford and Cambridge, and spent many years in the pharmaceutical industry. His book ‘Formulations’ (co-written with Dr Miranda Lynn Barnes) was published by Small Press (2022). His 'A Celestial Crown of Sonnets' (co-written with Dr Sam Illingworth) was published by Penteract Press (2021). Stephen’s poems have appeared in journals such as Marble (Broadsheet), Consilience, 14 magazine, Tears in the Fence, Green Ink Poetry, and Dreich. He is Director of Molecules Unlimited, a fast growing poetry community that explores overlaps with the chemical sciences.Sarah Doyle is a poet, short fiction writer, essayist, and poetry tutor. She holds the post of Poet-in-Residence to the Pre-Raphaelite Society, for whom she writes commissioned new poetry and co-judges an annual poetry prize. Her work has been published widely in a variety of high-quality journals, magazines, web-spaces, and anthologies; has won several competitions and placed in many more; has been illustrated, exhibited, broadcast on radio, and set to music. She has been a guest reader at numerous poetry events both in person and online, and previously co-curated and co-hosted Rhyme &amp; Rhythm Jazz-Poetry Club at Enfield’s Dugdale Theatre, alongside Allen Ashley.Sarah Westcott has published four books, designs and delivers poetry courses and mentors other writers. Sarah’s latest collection, Bloom, (Pavilion Poetry) was shortlisted for the 2023 Ledbury Hellens Poetry Prize for second collections and longlisted in the 2022 Laurel Prize for eco-poetry. She is currently working on her next collection, exploring human and animal poetics in the Anthropocene.
