Architects’ Mental Wellbeing Toolkit Launch 

The Architects’ Mental Wellbeing Forum is a group founded in late 2017 in an attempt to improve mental health within architecture. It was borne out of a belief that we as an industry could all improve our understanding of mental health, and subsequently provide better environments for the mental wellbeing of people working in architecture.

The Architects' Mental Wellbeing Forum

The Architects Mental Wellbeing Forum will be holding a discussion event on 20th June to launch the ARCHITECTS’ MENTAL WELLBEING TOOLKIT.
The event has been planned to share knowledge and experience about mental health in the architecture industry across organisations and will be an opportunity to network and become involved in the forum.
In an attempt to address mental wellbeing in the profession, the Forum produced a Toolkit for Practices, providing guidance for architects and employers on how to promote healthy mental wellbeing within the workplace.
Over the evening we aim to:

<LI>Raise awareness, provide advice and start a dialogue about mental health in the profession</LI>
<LI>Discuss how architecture practices are addressing the issue </LI>
<LI>What next – what practices and organisations can do for their staff and in the workplace to provide support and improve staff welfare</LI>
</UL>
The evening will open with LionHeart, a TEDx speaker, Award Winning Poet and the first poet in residence at the Saatchi Gallery.
‘Using poetry, I aim to understand the mechanics behind architecture’s ability to respond to human needs and use this to challenge how we address poor health. Contributing to the awareness of mental health internationally.’
