A residential weekend of mountain running on the beautiful Isle of Arran - summiting all the island's dramatic Corbetts in a single weekend!
A weekend of guided mountain running on the spectacular isle of Arran, with its panoramic views over fell and sea (accommodation included).
Arran is often described as 'Scotland in Miniature' on account of it's varied terrain and stunning beauty - curving coastline, rocky mountain peaks, quiet beaches and island forests. The mountains are a dramatic granite playground with some of the best trails in Scotland. Our exact routes will depend on the weather and specific aspirations of the group - but we will aim to summit all four of the island's iconic Corbetts in a single weekend:
Goat Fell; the highest point on the island at 874m
Cir Mhor; the most impressive and iconic Corbett in a dramatic rocky setting
Caisteal Abhail; the northermost Corbett on Arran, also known as the 'sleeping warrior' on account of its profile
Beinn Tarsuinn; the southernmost Corbett and home to the striking 'Old Man of Tarsuinn', a rocky outcrop, shaped uncannily like the head of a man!
Our award-winning events provide a solo-friendly and supportive environment, so book alone or with friends, and join us on the wonderful Isle of Arran.
We recommend that you are able to comfortably run 10km on trail and have some experience of fell-running or a reasonable level of hill-walking fitness before attending, as this will enable you to get the most out of your experience in the hills with us.
We will however, be taking a relaxed and sociable pace and won't be racing around! Expect to walk all the climbs and jog/run the 'flats and downs'. To find out more about what's involved visit: www.girlsonhills.com/faqs
We will email you at the beginning of event week to confirm final details. This email will also include a kit list and advice on where to meet us.
Please note that the Girls on Hills Terms and Conditions are different from those of Eventbrite and our Cancellation Policy can be viewed via our website at www.girlsonhills.com/terms-and-conditions.
