Fashion Interruptedis a research platform exploring new ways of working in fashion through immersive collaboration. Pushing fashion beyond the limits of physical materials, Fashion Interrupted launched Layers Unseen, a collaborative digital and augmented reality fashion project showcasing the work of three Scottish designers and four digital producers. Supported by Creative Scotland’s Stay See Share Fund and Scotland Re:Designed, the project premiered at V&A Dundee in November 2021.

<h2>ARRANGEMENT POINTS is the first in a series of networking events organised by artists and designers who share a passion for creating and innovating within fashion and digital. <a href="https://www.instagram.com/fashioninterrupted_/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"></a></h2><a href="https://www.instagram.com/fashioninterrupted_/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Fashion Interrupted</a> in-person and online meet-ups are an opportunity to connect with like-minded creatives and innovators, to explore opportunities and discuss challenges in the digital / physical creative space. With particular emphasis on innovations in fashion, attendees are encouraged to share their work, work in progress or research during an informal gathering.Join us for our first meet-up which will be held from 6pm on Wednesday 23rd November at Poetry Club, Glasgow.Sharing some work on the night: <a href="https://www.instagram.com/m_v_brown/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">MV Brown </a>will be speaking about the future of beauty, AR filters, AI generated looks, and increased personalisation through digital means. She&#x27;ll also touch upon recent collaboration with performance artist <a href="https://www.instagram.com/saturn_akin/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Saturn Akin</a>, who will also talk about objects as fashion accessories and performance props.<a href="https://www.instagram.com/digital.soft.wear/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Emma Clifton </a>will be focusing on digital fashion projects developed as part of ‘The New Real’ at Amsterdam Fashion Institute including replicating cheese suits, the shock of seeing yourself in 3D and attempts to embed tactile memory in digital artifacts.<a href="https://www.instagram.com/g.i.l.l.i.a.n.m.a.r.t.i.n/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Gillian Martin</a> will talk about design, pattern cutting and presentation using digital methods, as well as her use of AI text-to-image generation as an advanced search engine for creating source material for inspiration and visualisation purposes. The night will be hosted by <a href="https://www.instagram.com/ciorstaidhmonk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Ciorstaidh Monk</a> who has been experimenting within digital fashion, immersive AR/VR spaces and future ideas of fashion education.
