Description
Head to Bethlem Gallery and Museum of the Mind in Beckenham to explore the site of this world-famous hospital through historical and contemporary artistic perspectives. This is a collaboration between Bethlem Gallery and Wellcome Collection in celebration of our Reclaiming Asylum exhibition and Wellcome’s Bedlam exhibition.
This is a paid event, with tea and cake included.

Schedule for the event:

10am - 11am - Arrive and register. Both the gallery and museum exhibitions will be open to see before the talk starts

11am - 12:30pm - Art at Bethlem talk with presentations by all the invited speakers before time for questions and discussion.

12:30pm - 1:15pm - Tea, coffee and cake will be served (Included in the price of your ticket)

1:15pm-2:15pm - Sue from the Bethlem Wood Library will lead a walk around the hospital grounds. If you would like to join her then please do bring appropriate clothing, footwear and umbrellas, as the walk will lead us across grass and wooded areas.
Both the gallery and museum are open till 5pm that day with a small café space on-site serving hot drinks, cake and a selection of sandwiches and salads.
