John was born December 25, 1942, in Haydock and has lived in the St Helens area all his life.
Known as Alan by friends and family, He is a self-taught artist whose interest in drawing stemmed from his love of Classic films and Classical music, with many of his drawings being of actors and his favourite classical composers.
Dad has always wished for his drawings to be displayed but never got round to it, after a diagnosis of mixed dementia and blood cancer last year, myself and mum decided to approach local organisations to help show dads pictures, the Millennium Academy of art kindly agreed and his art work will be shown here 1/04/24 – 24/05/2024 and can be viewed any time between these dates
