Art Walking Group - Winter

Art Walking Group - Winter

Spike Island, BristolBristol, England
Saturday, Jan 24, 2026 from 11 am to 3 pm GMT
Overview

An informal walking group for anyone interested in walking as connection and collaboration, and as a way of engaging with the city and ideas

This is the second in what will become a regular walking group aimed at exploring walking as a means of connection, thinking and art making.

The theme for this second walk will be 'winter'. Walkers are encouraged to bring along anything on this theme they may wish to share with the group - e.g. a text, a poem, a song, a snack. I will bring along several texts that I will stop and share along the route, which we can reflect on as we go.

Actively sharing is not demanded nor expected. It might be that your way of sharing is to simply listen. This is very welcome. Walkers are encouraged to participate and share in whatever way they feel comfortable and able. You do not have to stay for the whole length of the walk and can leave and join as suits you.

Meet outside the Spike Island main entrance (or in the foyer if weather is unfriendly). We will walk for approx. 4 hours and will stop for a break for lunch.

Any questions do feel free to get in touch. Dogs and children welcome. If you have questions about parking please contact Spike Island directly.

With warmth,

Cliff
