Bio of Speakers
Phillip Kingston
Phillip has founded and operated companies across a number of disciplines and geographies over the last 20 years including financial services, hardware, software, professional services, media and entertainment. He has raised over $1 billion in capital and built businesses generating over $250 million in recurring revenue.
Phillip has helped build a range of innovation communities as a founding Director and Chair of the Investment Committee of the State Government of Victoria’s LaunchVic initiative overseeing a A$60m government fund to build the state’s entrepreneurial and startup ecosystem, as the Vice Chairman of the Centre for Sustainability Leadership for 7 years which is now part of Monash University’s Sustainable Development Institute and as Founder and President of the Henley Club which for over 5 years was at the center of the creative and entrepreneurial ecosystem in Australia.
Phillip holds degrees in applied mathematics (BSc) and actuarial finance (BComm) from the University of Melbourne.
Phillip relocated to Abu Dhabi in 2022 as part of his role at the Applied AI Company (AAICO) where he leads the technology and operations teams.
Théo Fagnoni
Théo recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Engineering and a Master’s degree in AI research from the Ecole Centrale and the University of Lille, France.
He joined AAICO to pursue an applied and product-focused approach to AI, deploying tangible productivity-enhancing projects in various industries. In his roles as an AI engineer and technical product manager, he contributed to the deployment of diverse projects, involving computer vision, NLP, and LLMs, among others.
Established in Abu Dhabi for a year now, he has been actively participating in and capitalizing on the growing AI ecosystem, increasingly supported by AAICO's rapidly growing team and footprint.
