Artificial Intelligence - the Golem

There exists a golden thread, which leads out of the labyrinth of our broken reality and towards the Truth. The Lectorium Rosicrucianum, or International School of the Golden Rosycross, aims to help seekers find and form a living connection with this shining filament, which is woven of love, wisdom, knowledge (gnosis) and action.

There is a very old theme that accompanies mankind on its journey through the material plane of life. It seems that we have an inner drive to imitate our Creator.
The Golem is a figure from a Jewish legend. This creature was moulded from clay by a rabbi and brought to life. We may have become more familiar with this theme through the novel by Mary Shelley entitled: ‘Frankenstein” or “The Modern Prometheus”. 
According to our divine roots we are creators, we are an aspect of the Absolute. 
But the question is - how do we realize this divine potential that lies within us? Ancient myths and legends of Atlantis and Lemuria speak to us of a dream of heaven on earth that caused the end of civilizations that played with the laws of this nature, serving their blind ambitions and trying to imitate the creating "fiat" through distorted consciousness. 
What happened? The fallen heavenly being created a vehicle, a material personality, and assumed that this creation would develop into a new divine human being, in which he could live and be. But his physical creation, which is one with matter and thus controlled by the laws of matter, gained domination over him. 
Is history about to repeat itself in our new creations of artificial intelligence? This talk will look at the modern relevance of the above.
This will be the first appointment in an Open Conference that will last from Thursday 20/06 to Saturday 22/06.
Through a series of Public Talks, open discussions and Contemplative Meetings, we will try to explore together with all participants what links the microcosmic human being with the cosmos and the macrocosm (Man, Nature, God), how we can transform this insight within our consciousness and materialise it practically in our daily life.
