Workshop 2: Build a physical, participatory remote artwork.
Booking options (Physical and Digital Making or Physical Making only)
Equal opportunities for digital and physical making. Bring your favourite making materials, pen and paper.
Take your remote, participatory artworks beyond the screen. In this workshop you will take your first steps to interacting with physical and sensory elements in remote work. Explore what is possible, play with some examples, and build your own remote physical artwork.
If you would like to make the optional digital build, you will need a basic Raspberry Pi kit, and some familiarity with Raspberry Pi (e.g. you did the hands-on bit of Workshop 1).
Find the Raspberry Pi kit list with shopping links here.
Find the Zoom link in your ticket confirmation email.

Equally suited to the tech-curious and the tech-phobic, this is a good chance to get your learning safely, responsibly, and without being patronized.
This is an opportunity for critically-engaged, proactive, and hopeful guided exploration of an unfamiliar landscape. The workshops offer a mixture of digital and physical hands-on learning, with supporting informal drop-ins. All workshops take place remotely, on Zoom, ensuring full and equal accessibility for professionals vulnerable to Covid-19.
The digital learning hands-on elements require a basic Raspberry Pi kit, which can be assembled inexpensively from common bits and pieces - just add the Pi to safely explore the digital world without meddling on your expensive computer!
Participate in the whole week as a crash-course, or join individual sessions.
Practitioners in all art-forms welcome. 18+
