ArtyParti - Paint by Chords

ArtyParti - Paint by Chords

Port IndependentSunderland, England
Friday, Feb 27 from 6 pm to 9 pm GMT
Overview

New for 2026, Paint by Chords invites you to a unique music & art experience - respond to a live acoustic performance. Materials provided.

Join us for our first ever 'Paint by Chords' - a live podcast recording where you are invited to a live music performance, whilst putting brush to canvas.

Calling all artists & creatives in & around Sunderland!

We're hosting our first 'Paint by Chords' podcast recording, and we'd love for you to join us. It's a new idea which we're really excited to develop - I cannot wait to see (and hear) the outcome!

'Paint by Chords'

Picture it. A musican performs a live acoustic set, and you are given a canvas and materials. It's up to you how you respond to the music; let the vibe take over and be inspired.

We'll then share and discuss the stories and influences behind your paintings, which are recorded for an episode of the ArtyParti podcast (and later, mixed into a rich audiophonic listen).

Rinse and repeat; another acoustic set, another canvas, then another discussion.

It'll be a fun and chilled event to enjoy being inspired by music, and to make connections with other artists & creatives in the city.

Announcing this month’s musician… Sara Leilah

“My name is Sara Leilah and I’m a musician based in the north east of England.

“My music is a mixture of stories and experiences particularly from a feminine viewpoint talking about the different journeys in life and the ups and downs of mental health.

“I mostly have a soft-folk style of songwriting with similarities to artists Phoebe Bridgers and Gracie Abrams.”
