The Instituto Cervantes is the world's largest and most important institution dedicated to the teaching of Spanish and the other languages of Spain, as well as to the diffusion of the culture of Spanish-speaking countries.The Instituto Cervantes of Leeds was inaugurated on April 23rd, 1993. Therefore, in 2018 we are celebrating our 25th anniversary. A quarter of a century collaborating actively in the teaching of Spanish and the spreading of the Hispanic culture.

Instituto Cervantes in Leeds organises film screenings with English subtitles to introduce new directors and the best premieres from Spain's leading film festivals.

Antoine and Olga have moved to a small village in Galicia, in Spain’s northwest. They support themselves by growing and selling their own vegetables, and in their spare time repair and refurbish abandoned cottages in the neighbourhood. It’s a quiet and peaceful existence. At least it was, until the neighbourhood are approached by Norwegian developers who are willing to pay out the residents of the neighbourhood to build a wind farm on their property.Antoine and Olga are the only residents who voted against the development, much to the annoyance of two local brothers, who have grown piqued by the couple’s presence in the community. It’s an opportunity that many locals would benefit from financially. But it doesn’t fit with Antoine and Olga’s vision of their perfect country life. From this disagreement, tensions and tempers rise, pushing the situation to the point of no return. Antoine y Olga se han trasladado a un pequeño pueblo de Galicia, en el noroeste de España. Se mantienen cultivando y vendiendo sus propias hortalizas, y en su tiempo libre reparan y restauran las casas de campo abandonadas del vecindario. Es una existencia tranquila y apacible. Al menos lo era, hasta que el vecindario es abordado por promotores noruegos dispuestos a pagar a los residentes del barrio para que construyan un parque eólico en su propiedad.Antoine y Olga son los únicos residentes que han votado en contra de la urbanización, para disgusto de dos hermanos de la localidad, a quienes la presencia de la pareja en la comunidad les ha picado el gusanillo. Es una oportunidad que beneficiaría económicamente a muchos vecinos. Pero no encaja con la visión que Antoine y Olga tienen de su perfecta vida en el campo. A partir de este desacuerdo, las tensiones y los ánimos se caldean, llevando la situación a un punto sin retorno.
