A unique session to provide an increased insight into Dentistry as a career! All participants will get a certificate of participation!

We know obtaining work experience during the current pandemic, especially for dentistry, can be difficult! That&#x27;s why we have created an online work experience course! In this session, we&#x27;ll be covering multiple dental related topics. This session is designed primarily for those wishing to pursue dentistry at university in the UK and this should serve as an initial ‘taste’ to fuel your interest. By taking part in this experience, we hope to cover and discuss all the topics and scenarios you would have seen at your real work experience placements. Here are some of the topics we&#x27;ll be covering: <ul><li>Dental Anatomy</li><li>Dental Instruments</li><li>Dental Fillings</li><li>Gum Disease</li><li>Fluoride</li><li>Extractions</li><li>Root Canal Treatment</li><li>Dental Prostheses</li><li>Dental X-Rays</li><li>Technologies in Dentistry</li><li>The Dental Team</li><li>Private Vs NHS Dentistry</li><li>Types of Dentist</li><li>Health and Safety</li><li>Infection Control</li><li>Patient Confidentiality</li><li>Professional Organisations</li><li>Dental Anxiety</li><li>The Qualities of a dentist</li></ul>And we&#x27;ll also be exploring multiple different dentist-patient scenarios which will allow you to analyse the different skills portrayed by the dentist as well! All these areas will be covered systematically over the course of 2 days!ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL GET A CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION AT THE END OF THE WORK EXPERIENCE COURSE!Who&#x27;s this session for?Anyone who wants an increased insight into the field of Dentistry! (Ideally anyone from the ages of 14 and above)What happens after I register?You&#x27;ll receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite, and nearer to the time of the event, you will be emailed the links for the event.
