In the wake of the Streamlined Asylum Process large numbers of those in asylum accommodation are receiving decisions on their applications and being evicted from their accommodation. This course will review the possible outcomes of an asylum application and the impact on accommodation, next steps for those with eviction notices and best practice in working with newly granted refugees. We will cover:

  • Next steps following a refusal of asylum
  • Next steps following a grant of asylum
  • Dealing with asylum withdrawals
  • Steps to maximise chances of finding accommodation

Practical Support for non-UK Rough Sleepers

This course will look at what steps you can take to assist non-UK rough sleepers to access accommodation. We will cover:

  • The difference between immigration advice and information & what steps non-immigration accredited workers can take
  • Assisting someone to access immigration advice
  • Helping gather evidence
  • Identifying possible accommodation options
