So how do we build trust? In this talk, we dig into a synthesis of 28 studies of consumer trust in e-commerce sites to find out what works and what doesn’t. Some of the findings aren’t surprising: Trust comes from your reputation and integrity. But some of the other things that build trust – including the number-one-trust-builder across these studies – are things that, on the face of it, don’t seem to have anything to do with trust at all or that might have even been expected to cause distrust.
