Preeminent author and architectural historian Professor James Stevens Curl joins The Alexander Thomson Society and Egyptology Scotland to deliver the 2019 Gavin Stamp Lecture.
Professor Curl will deliver a talk on two millenia of the Egyptian Revival in architecture, discussing everything from the adoption of Egyptianised elements in Graeco-Roman architecture through to the 'individual contribution of Alexander Thomson'. The talk draws on the research presented by Prof Curl in his seminal book, The Egyptian Revival.
