Overview

We're revisiting Edinburgh Book Festival events from 2025. Let's watch together and have a chat about books!

Robert Macfarlane's radiant writing on nature, people, and place is in a class unto itself, This passionate, perspective-shifting book revives the idea that rivers are living beings and should be treated as such. Macfarlane discusses 'thirsty notebooks', rivers as co-authors, and writing his most personal and political book to date. Chaired by Cal Flyn.

The streaming will begin at 6.30pm and we'll meet at 6pm to chat about our favourite O'Farrell books, including Hamnet.
