We know that it’s not easy to parent a child who is either violent, or who behaves in a sexually inappropriate way, and we also know how hard it is to access the right sort of behaviour support. 
<H3 CLASS="MsoNormal">It’s not your fault….</H3>
We’re here to help, and if you join us you’ll find yourself in a safe and supportive space where no-one will judge you or blame you for your child’s behaviour. We know that it’s not your fault, and it’s not your child’s fault either. 
<H3 CLASS="MsoNormal">Meet others in the same situation….</H3>
Instead, you’ll meet other people who understand because they are in exactly the same situation with their child, and there can be something very powerful about being in a room full of people who get it, and who have shared experiences that are difficult to talk about in most situations. 
<H3 CLASS="MsoNormal">Turning behaviour around</H3>
Mark and Yvonne will talk you through why these behaviours happen, and what you can do to start getting your family back on track. There are no quick-fix answers or magic wands, but there are approaches and strategies that work well, and which have already helped countless children with an additional need to turn their behaviours around. 
<H3 CLASS="MsoNormal">Mark talks about puberty</H3>
The morning is split into two halves, with time for coffee and a chat in between. Mark starts the morning by talking about puberty and how our children often need a lot of help to navigate their way around the social expectations, and concepts such as consent, boundaries and how to make friends. It’s an excellent session, with lots of information delivered in a very down-to-earth way, with lots of warmth and humour. Whether your child is five or fifteen, you’ll learn lots that you can start using immediately to help your child cope better with growing up. 
<H3 CLASS="MsoNormal">Yvonne talks about violent and challenging behaviour </H3>
Then Yvonne talks about violent and challenging behaviour, why it happens, how it impacts on families, and what we can do to help our children to turn their behaviour around so that they are happier, calmer and much less anxious. It’s usually anxiety, fear and distress that is at the root of violent behaviour in our children, and traditional parenting strategies simply don’t work. In fact, they can escalate an already difficult situation instead of calming it down. Yvonne will share lots of strategies that you'll be able to implement as soon as you get home that can make a significant difference almost immediately, and always with compassion, warmth and understanding.

FAQs
 Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Yes, all attendees must be aged 18 or over, due to the sensitive subject matter that will be discussed.
 How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
Please email Yvonne - yvonne@yvonnenewbold.com. Yvonne will try and get back to you as soon as possible, but there may be times when a same-day response is difficult, so please bear with her, and she will do her utmost to reply within 48 hours. 
 What's the refund policy?
We know how plans can suddenly change in families like ours, and how disappointing it can be if you aren't able to do something that you've been looking forward to for ages. So we always try to transfer your ticket to another date if you can't make it. As far as refunds are concerned, we can offer a full refund as long as you give us 7 days notice. 
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
There's no need to print your ticket, but it would help to have your ticket accessible on your phone when you arrive.  
Can I change my ticket to another date? 
If you wish to change your ticket to another date, we will do what we can to accommodate your request, however it will depend on ticket availability, 
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
As long as the person you are transfering it to is over the age of 18, and you let Yvonne know by email beforehand, that should be OK. Yvonne's email is yvonne@yvonnenewbold.com
