Come join Rose Whitehouse from Red Earth Ferments at The Elephant on the Green for an all-day ‘Introduction to Fermentation’ class.

In this class we will cover several techniques of lacto-fermentation, resulting in you taking home a range of ferments that will enable you to carry on making a variety of ferments at home. For beginners, you will receive a broad introduction to various techniques. For those that are more experienced, this is a chance to ask lots of questions and develop your skills further.

We will learn to make a seasonal Sauerkraut and kimchi and a wild soda (and starter culture).

Lunch and refreshments will be provided as well as all equipment, recipes and on-going support after the class.

You will take home with you a jar of kimchi, sauerkraut and ginger beer (plus a starter culture).

One discounted ticket is available for someone on a low income in return for their help setting up and cleaning down at the end of the event. Please contact me directly for more information about this: redearthferments@gmail.com

'Rose what an amazing experience today on your course. I’m so happy I was accepted on it. You made the preparation of the ferments easy to achieve and I’m proudly displaying my handiwork to my family and looking forward to tasting them myself. Lunch and refreshments were excellent. Very varied and tasty. Lots of things I want the recipe for. You were so welcoming and my mobility problems were so caringly supported I enjoyed every minute. The group of people today were so lovely too.

I really would recommend your course to people interested in their health. Thank you very much'

'It was a fantastic workshop! ❤️ full of happiness, positive attitude and of course full of your amazing knowledge about ferments! I enjoyed every moment.

You seemed incredibly passionate about what you do, and the passion poured out of your entire being. Beautiful!

You have so much valuable knowledge to offer/share with other people who want to start their journey with this healing, delicious fermented food.

I'm honored to have met you because you really inspired me a lot !'

I came to a workshop with my daughter a few weeks ago..It was absolutely fabulous. We were both overwhelmed at how much we were able to fit into the day, your amazing wealth of knowledge, all the delicious food we actually consumed on the day all all the goodies we took home..all happily bubbling on our kitchen table.. You are a brilliant teacher. The kimchi is soooo delicious..Cant quite believe we made something ourselves that tasted so good...The real challenge will be doing it totally on our own!!

'I just wanted to say thank you once again for such an amazing day, I thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt so much. You were so generous with both your knowledge and all the wonderful foods that we were able to take away.

I have a huge interest in food and diet, and fermentation is firmly part of my life now. Meeting you and learning so much more just confirmed how brilliant it is.'
