AWS 101: Introduction to Amazon Web Services

At Advanced Hackspace at Imperial College London, we are a community like no other. We bring together inventive minds from all backgrounds, disciplines, and levels of expertise across the College network to collaborate, experiment, and innovate. All in the name of making amazing things happen! Hackspace is the only place on campus where you can access resources like electronics, wood and metal workshops, and a bio lab, as well as a wide variety of prototyping tools. All under one roof.

Interested in learning cloud technology and not sure where to start?
Come join us in the upcoming AWS 101 workshop! This is a free introductory hands-on session which covers some useful services such as elastic computing (EC2) and Simple Storage Service (S3). You will also get an overview of what Amazon Web Service and find out what other services might be useful for you.
This workshop is suitable for all and beginners friendly. Space limited, first-come-first-serve basis. Sign up soon!

Pradyumna Dash has more than 13 years of IT experience in Solution Architecture, Infrastructure consulting, Open Source, virtualization, cloud computing and DevOps worked across a wide range of verticals across geographies.   He has authored a number of books and articles.  He has a Bachelor’s degree in IT and Management and holds a number of IT certifications.  As part of the UK Solutions Architects team at AWS, Pradyumna is responsible for helping public sector customers and partners learn about and make the best use of the range of cloud services available from AWS.
Prior to joining AWS Pradyumna worked with Lumeon UK a healthcare startup as DevOps Lead.
Before working at Lumeon, Pradyumna worked with companies like Capgemini, Genpact, Xoriant, Red Hat with different roles and responsibilities.
